Established in 2016, Sullivan’s Auctions is a family-run business in the heart of the South Wales valleys, with over 40 years of experience in commercial sales. We provide a range of auction services, taking great pride in all we do, from valuations to sensitive house clearances. We offer a comprehensive valuation and auction service to clients across the Valleys regions, south Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and beyond. We handle the sale of antiques, mid-century and modern furnishings, artworks, jewellery, silverware and ceramics.

We run sales on the second Monday and Tuesday of each month, starting at 10.30 am with viewing from 9 am the Friday before the sale. The collection of your purchased items is on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am until 5 pm after the sale.

Shaun is the face of Sullivans Auctions. As the lead auctioneer, valuer, and business owner, he is responsible for the daily operations of the auction house. A former military man and proud veteran, Shaun understands the importance of strong leadership and teamwork. He is approachable and personable while maintaining a professional demeanour, and he has a keen eye for quality. Outside of auction activities, Shaun enjoys walking, golf and target shooting.
Connor Keohane

Connor is an enthusiastic team member with a keen eye for detail. He is responsible for photographing and writing descriptions for sale items, and he is well on his way to earning his auctioneering credentials. Connor supervises the packing and postage of items and can be found on the rostrum during sale days, where he manages the sales process and inputs all necessary information into the online saleroom platforms. He is well-organised, flexible, and enjoys the administrative challenges of supporting a diverse team. When he’s not working, Connor enjoys writing music and performing acoustic guitar sets, as well as staying fit at the gym.

Lee has transitioned into the auction industry after holding various roles in retail. He is responsible for managing our computerised administration, maintaining auction stock inventory, building teams, training staff, monitoring performance, and communicating with both vendors and buyers. Lee excels at multitasking in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is known for being calm and approachable, particularly in sensitive situations. Outside of work, his hobbies include Liverpool football club, mountain biking, and he enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, and regularly helps out on a local farm.
Jason Draper
Long cased clocks, mid and antique furniture
As an experienced mechanical engineer, Jason is well-acquainted with the fast-paced environment of a busy auction house. Dynamic and trustworthy, he can always be relied upon to complete any job safely and efficiently. A firm favourite with customers, Jason speaks quietly and empathetically, making him approachable for anyone seeking advice during the auction. Outside of work, Jason enjoys riding his hand-built motorcycle, renovating property and restoring vehicles of all shapes and sizes.
Charles Lamont
Charles is a retired emergency medical technician and paramedic who has worked at Sullivans Auctions since its opening in 2016. As a loyal and experienced member of the team, he is a favourite among customers. With his bright outlook and enthusiastic approach, Charles can always be relied upon to get the job done. During auctions, he provides refreshments and offers advice to both first-time buyers and returning customers. Working part-time has allowed Charles to continue his personal development and improve his IT skills, while also travelling the world and exploring new destinations.
Mark Wheeler
Motor vehicles, mid century furniture and modern art
Mark is a highly capable and experienced individual with excellent people skills and a strong understanding of stock control. He has a background in manufacturing and driver management, making him a valuable addition to the team. His knowledge of antiques and collectables has also developed at a rapid pace. Outside of work, Mark, a family man, loves riding his high-powered motorcycle and walking his dog. There is no problem he won't tackle.
Thomas John Sullivan
Thomas (Tommy) is a retired company director of Cynon Valley Soft Drinks, a business that faithfully served local enterprises in the Cynon Valley and beyond for over 30 years. The auction now takes place at the same location. As the senior member of the team and Shaun's father, Thomas is always available to provide advice and support to both management and team members. Although he is now retired, he remains very busy and enjoys cleaning and maintaining his classic cars and spending time at his holiday home on the West Wales coast.
