Sterling silver calutron salts, in their original presentation box, presented to MVO DSO TD Ode Richard Vivian 3rd Baron of Swansea and his wife on their marriage Oct 25th 1906, from the employees of the Halford Silver Works in Swansea. The Baron was the owner of the Halford works. Salts are dated 1905 Sheffield by Henry Wilkinson who was a close friend of the Baron. The Baron served with distinction during WW1 and awarded a DSO for bravery, his diary from WW1 including his account of the battle of Ypres is held in the National Library of Wales. The Baron is buried at Saint David's Church in Maesmynis Builth Wells, lot contains historical information paperwork.
